Since October, a large number of overwintering migratory birds have settled in the reserve. There are more than 31,200 birds of 32 species monitored in the reserve, including black stork and white crane that are the national first-level protected wild animals, and gray crane and tundra swan that are the national second-level protected wild animals.


On December 5, the Chinese mergansers caught fish.


On December 5, a flock of black storks soared in the sky over the Hengling Lake Provincial Nature Reserve of Xiangyin County.
